Unlocking our woodlands – small oak furniture business receives grant

Oxford Oak is a small business that makes bespoke outdoor furniture and pergolas from oak. Oxfordshire LAG awarded a grant for new equipment. With the new equipment Oxford Oak will be able to:

• increase the amount of furniture made
• increase turnover and employ staff
• shorten the wood supply chain by seasoning oak on site

European Social Fund Community Grants scheme opens in Oxfordshire

A new grants scheme has opened to community organisations in Oxfordshire that help unemployed or disadvantaged people into work or training. Grants range from £5,000 – £50,000. To find out more visit the Communuity Grants Web page on the Oxford City Council website.

LAM Brewing granted £35,000 of Oxfordshire LEADER Funding

LAM Brewing is a small home-based brewery producing bottle-conditioned craft beer sold in local shops and restaurants. With the help of LEADER funding LAM Brewing will:

increase the volumes and range of its craft beer
increase in size and employ staff
produce its craft beers for the keg / can market.
